{{Book Review}} Unplanned by Abby Johnson

Unplanned: The Dramatic True Story of a Former Planned Parenthood Leader's Eye-Opening Journey across the Life Line

Retailers Choice Award winner, 2012
Abby Johnson quit her job in October 2009. That simple act became a national news story because Abby was the director of a Planned Parenthood clinic in Texas who, after participating in an actual abortion procedure for the first time, walked down the street to join the Coalition for Life. Unplanned is a heart-stopping personal drama of life-and-death encounters, a courtroom battle, and spiritual transformation that speaks hope and compassion into the political controversy that surrounds this issue. Telling Abby’s story from both sides of the abortion clinic property line, this book is a must-read for anyone who cares about the life versus rights debate and helping women who face crisis pregnancies.

*My Review*
I rarely read non-fiction books like this, but I am so glad that I did! All I can say is that anyone who cares about life NEEDS to read this book. If you consider yourself pro-choice, I urge you to read this book. If you have ever been hurt by past abortions or if you are considering abortion as an option I urge you to read this book!! I cannot say this enough....EVERYONE should read this book!!!

Abby Johnson is a modern-day hero. That is reason alone to read this story of person who was willing to walk away from her eight-year career, because it was  "the right thing to do," now knowing where her heart and God were leading her, makes the book worth the read.

{{Book Review}} Hope For The Caregiver

About the book:

Overview

"If you love somebody, you will be a caregiver.
If you live long enough, you'll need one."
—Peter Rosenberger
Now the 65.7 million caregivers in America, making up 29 percent of the U.S. adult population, can turn to one of their own for encouragement and renewal. With three decades of experience and immense credibility, Peter Rosenberger offers proven practical help with biblical truths.

*My Review*
This book "Hope For The Caregiver" is exactly what I needed to read! It's such a great encouragement. I strongly recommend this book to everyone who is a caregiver and even those who are receiving care. I believe there is something in this book for everyone! I just want to thank Mr. Rosenberger for making this book easy to read and easy to digest. I planned on reading this book during my nightly quiet time, but I ended up reading it all in one sitting.

{{Book Review}} Roar by Scottie Nell Hughes

Are you sick and tired of watching your city, state and country spiral out of control and into the hands of liberals, whether Democrats or “Republicans in Name Only?” If so, you will be inspired to make a difference as you read the passionate battle cry of Scottie Nell Hughes.
In the past, conservative women worked hard to nurture their homes, their churches and their communities, committing their time, talents and resources to the betterment of all concerned. Wherever there was a need, they worked together to meet it…and that was enough. Not anymore.
Thanks to the ongoing efforts of the progressive media and the liberal political leadership, today’s American political and social language has completely changed. Our God-given, constitutionally-protected rights are being threatened on multiple fronts. Our children are being taught ideas we would never want them exposed to. It’s time to take a stand. It’s time to ROAR!

*My Review*
Scottie Nell Hughes is an awesome author and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. She could be the female version of Bill O'Reilly due to her wit, knowledge and her views of the politics. This book is more geared toward conservative mothers than those who are married without children or who are single. She is not your typical political columnist and her book reveals the strength of conservative women in everyday life and politics. She captures the women's struggles from balancing home life and careers, to spiritual issues

{{Book Review}} Love Story:The Hand That Holds Us From The Garden To The Gate By Nichole Nordeman

The best-selling album has inspired a heart-melting book

In Love Story, one of Christian music's most remarkable singer- songwriters brings to the printed page her proven gift for mining the gritty soil of everyday experience and emerging with poignant gems of spiritual insight. Based on the songs of the popular albums, Music Inspired by The Story, Dove Award winner Nichole Nordeman takes us inside some of the pivotal moments of the people of Scripture, revealing a very human side that we've rarely glimpsed. In the process, she offers us startlingly frank glimpses of her own struggles and faith journey, inspiring us to take the hand of the One who walks with us--who has always walked with us--from beginning to end.

*My Review*
Nichole has a very creative writing style. She is very talented....but we already knew that! This book is a great blend of humor and contemplative thought with her personality showing through. Excellent book. I really enjoyed it & recommend this book to everyone!
